1893 Photogravure Portrait Francoise d'Aubigne Madame Maintenon Scarron XEG6 XEQ4 This is an original 1912This is an original 1893 black and white aquatint photogravure of beloved Franoise d'Aubign, better known as Madame Scarron during her first marriage, and Madame de Maintenon during her time at Versailles. Although she began her court life as mistress to King Louis XIV of France, she evetually ended it as his second wife. The two were extremely close, never spending more than a day apart despite Louis' active court life and busy schedule. CONDITION
