2018 Chateau Angelus Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux, France Bordeaux After ten days on skinsThe 39 hectare planted only 17 of which awre classified 1st growth and allowed in the final bottling is planted to 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. This shows a continuing increase in the amount of Cabernet Franc in the vineyard and of course in the final blend as well. As you would expect, the Merlot is planted in soils with more clay and limestone, while the Cabernet Franc is planted in gravel, limestone, and sand terroir.
