A shelf below allows for storage. The slate has signs of decades of wear and naturally occurring patina. The edges of the slate are worn but there are no deep gouges or cracks to speak of. A table such as this one could have served it's life as either a workbench at a farm or a butchers island preparing food. The table in its' entirety is free of corrosion
